His therapeutic approach combines elements of short-term dynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. He also incorporates pain education and neuropsychological research into his interventions. Dr. Simon’s treatment philosophy is that every client is deserving of compassion, the best available treatment  and a deep respect for their individual story.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Simon is involved in psychotherapy research and education with psychology residents and other hospital staff. He also enjoys supervising graduate students and advocating for the accessibility of mental health services.
