Eric was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia. He came to Saskatoon in 1999 where he played football for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies from 1999-2003. He was an academic All-Canadian and two time CIS All-Canadian. He later was a defensive back coach with the team from 2013 - 2015. Eric graduated with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2003. He started his career with personal training and fitness equipment sales. Eric has been employed with the FIT For Active Living program since 2008 as an Exercise Therapist with a short time also working as a Rehabilitation Coordinator.

When not at work he and his wife enjoy coaching and watching their two children play multiple sports including basketball, flag football, volleyball and hockey. He also enjoys playing hockey, golfing, strength training, and spending time with their dog.
