When coming in for an initial appointment, our physical therapists trained in pelvic floor dysfunction will perform a subjective and physical assessment. Because the pelvic muscles are internal muscles, an internal exam must be used to assess the function and structure of the pelvic floor in order to develop an exercise program that meets your specific needs.
