Michelle Cruz graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001. Michelle worked in private practice for five years before joining the FIT For Active Living Program in 2006 and has been a Senior Physiotherapist with the FIT program since 2009.

Michelle has taken several physiotherapy continuing education courses over the years, focusing on the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. In 2009 she completed an eight month certificate program in medical acupuncture through the University of Alberta Extension Division, training under Dr. Steven Aung. In 2008 she completed a nine month yoga teacher training course in Saskatoon, training under Jan Henrikson, and integrates yoga principles into her physiotherapy practice. In recent years, Michelle has taken course in vestibular therapy, concussion management, and pelvic floor therapy. In 2018, she became certified to provide dry needling/intramuscular stimulation (IMS).

Michelle has a special interest in treating and educating individuals with persistent pain from widespread musculoskeletal injuries and thrives on learning more about this field to further her practice.
